As Strong As I Have To Be

Muscles and memories fade with the years
Those things we can all plainly see
But it is only with the passing of time
We are as strong as we have to be

Each day should bring wisdom
Love and respect and a place for you and me
Now you are gone and I am someone
Who is as strong as I have to be

I wake up alone leaving you in my dreams
As my tears crack my mirrored face
If life is worth living then why does it seem
That my life has been such a waste
