the invasion

happiness once filled the land
and then the invasion began
the peace that once ruled the day
was quickly torn away

no longer free from crime
people knew soon the time
would come and sounds of war
would be heard near and far

would they all unite and stand
to protect their sacred land
from the evil on their shores
that now was beating at thier doors

or would they simply stand
and let the evil take the land
that kept the happy people pure
no one really knew for sure
