Last Night While You Were Dreaming

Close your eyes for a minute and try to find
That world of your dreams that you left behind

Last night while sleeping you became someone new
Who could do all the things you always wanted to

You had meetings with world leaders and talking trees
And collected magic pollen while flying with bees

While visiting a land where people never grow old
You danced with the devil for a pot of gold

There were mansions and music and amusement parks
Along with lots of things you could only do in the dark

Of course you were there with the love of your life
Reunited in your dreams with your beautiful wife

Sadly your dream will soon come to an end
As you wait for nightfall and to dream again
